Slalom Race Day...less than ideal conditions....foggy..

having had 2 other times to practice, the Games announcer pronounces Cory's name correctly, and adds some style to it too..

What a way to end his first ever World Winter Games, Silver in Giant Slalom Gold in Super Giant Slalom, and Gold again in Slalom!!

But wait!  There's more!  Team Canada Head Coach Mark comes to us and says "stick around, there'll be another podium presentation, there was an error in the Giant Slalom race"...and he holds up one finger.  Another Gold!

"Gold Medalist, representing Special Olympics Canada....CO-REEEE DUUUUHAIME"....


With Hussein, the delegate from the Games Organizing Committee who told Cory that his Silver Medal had turned into Gold.






Yes, 3 races, 3 wins, 3 Gold Medals.  For Canada.  A last look at the run - a World Cup run - where it all happened.

Results were not released in advance of the medal presentations... but we knew, seeing how the podium positions had been set up (from the right, 7th, 5th, 3rd, 1st) if Cory came out as the fourth athlete, he would win Gold!  (volunteers in light green jackets)
